Brachytic

Stems are shortened because of less elongation at each internode. Ears and tassel are "normal" sized (Neuffer, Coe, and Wessler, 1997).

A mutated plant surrounded by normal plants.
Plant with mutation looks dwarfed compared to plants without mutation. Note normal-sized tassel.
Close-up of a single brachytic stalk, highlighting the shorter internodes but otherwise mostly normal corn stalk.
Ear size appears normal. Note short internodes, so that ear height is less than 12 inches above the soil.
